just thought you would like to see how my diamond log cabin (dunsters pattern) turned out, I'm not quilt finished yet, desiding whether to square it up with pale grey or just leave it, suggestion would be appreciated

Great Job ! I need to locate my copy of this pattern - I bought it when it first came out , every time I see a new one I think , yep maybe now is the time .... Still not sure I am good enough to try it

It is very beautiful as it is, but I think the gray would be pretty also. Sorry I'm not much help! LOL

it is beautiful. I vote for the grey
Gorgeous, that is so pretty, the colors are great. Very stunning.
wow!!...that is wonderful!...i'm in shock at how complicated it appears!
don't square it, beautiful as is.
That is really beautiful. I was given the pattern in a swap as a challenge. I keep getting it out and then chicken out. Maybe this summer I will get the courage to start. : )
Its really pretty, I would leave as it, too! Great job!
How does one get the pattern????
Wow! That's a real beauty!
where can I purchase this pattern
It's beautiful! It would depend on what I wanted to use it for if I added the triangles to square it up. If I wanted it for my bed and I have a solid matching colour bedspread, I might leave it the way it is and center it on the bed. If I wanted it for conpetition, I might leave it the way it is because it looks so perfect now. If I wanted it for my main bed quilt I would probably squared the edges.

WOW beautiful

Wow!!! you have a lot of patience. That is one for my DD who loves pink. Her 50th B'day is this month........that is in case you get tired of it.
Me too. Add the gray.

Carol, you did a fantastic job! I am so happy when I see one of these quilts finished. I think that pale grey would look great on the corners, but if you like the hexagon shape then leave it as it is.
To those looking for the pattern - pm me and I'll give you the details. |
WOW! It is wonderful.
If you square it up with the grey, I'll bet this will almost look 3D on the bed. WOW.
This a beautiful quilt and you did a superb job. Thanks for showing
Beautiful just the way it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is beautiful. You did a good job.
I think gray borders would be nice. You did a wonderful job. I've got to get my pattern out and get on it too. I'd forgotten how beautiful is. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful!
I have that pattern somewhere from Dunster. You did a great job!
Beautiful! I would square it up with gray..lots of quilting potential! For sure!
It depends on what you want to do with it. It would be beautiful as is for a wallhanging but for a bed quilt it would fit easier if it was squared. It turned out beautiful, by the way!
Fantastic. I love the loves
That is really beautiful
Wow, that is just lovely. What do you plan to do with this? Will it be a wall hanging? Draped over a couch or bed? If you plan on hanging it I would not square it up. If you are placing it on a couch or bed then I would use the pale grey for the squaring.
Beautiful quilt. Good job. Thank you for sharing.
That is just beautiful!
Wow....it's beautiful!!! :)

This is beautiful and a must find pattern for me.Grays and black would make it pop. I think this pattern would be pretty used as a table topper.
