Finished Grandma's Quilt
3 Attachment(s)
This quilt was handpieced by my grandmother about 50 - 60 years ago. It was recently given to me and I decided it deserved to be handquilted. It took forever and as my first handquilting project, it is far from perfect but I am so proud to have completed it. Please enjoy.

Wonderful "GMs periwinkle" quilt. I love the way you mimicked the block with your quilting. Very much like it would have been done years ago. What a lovely treasure.

What a treasure. There is a lone star partially pieced by my great grandmother someplace in my family. I think I will see if I can find it and finish it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Looks wonderful to me!
No matter how critical you are of your hand quilting, think about how much prettier it looks quilted, displayed and appreciated, compared to how it looked tucked away in storage! |
