Finished Hand Quilting My Pinwheel Quilt!
 

Good Morning, I finally finished hand quilting this quilt. It has been in progress for a couple of years. Another UFO done! This is the fifth one for me this year only two hand quilted. I have a flannel backing on this quilt and quilted each pinwheel in different colors to match the material. Hope you all enjoy. Onward to finishing UDO's. It does feel good. I want to do some other quilts but decided to try and finish a few before starting new. I have about 5 cut out ready to go!

I am in awe of anyone who does hand quilting. I think it is wonderful and would love to be able to do it. However, I got into this quilting thing so late that I have to make TOPS. If I handquilted, no one would ever get one.

Hand quilting with a flannel back is easy as a cotton back. Flannel is soft and I never had a problem

Congratulations on all the finished UFOs. Great pinwheel. I just love the handquilting, it does take a lot of time, but so worth it.

Lovely quilt! Beautiful color choice. I am a beginner hand quilter (have quilted 2 baby quilts). What type of thread do you quilt with? Do you run the thread through beeswax?
