Hi DeneK, I liked visiting your blog. I loved meeting your furr babies! I have 3 of my own at home and would dearly love to add a 2-3 year old female to my pack. But, dear husband says no. :( My youngest needs a playmate. lol :D

Very nice. I love the color. And, I'm not looking close. I think it looks fabulous!

Thanks for your nice comment... Of course your youngest needs a playmate. That is how we got our Golden Retriever: to be a playmate for our puppy Newfoundland. Sadly both have crossed the bridge now. I made a nice quilt in memory of the Newf.

Thanks. I will check it out. While I do like doing the mini's, it seems that I don't have time to work them in. Always more I want to do than time to do them.

It was a pattern. Except that I didn't put it together correctly and the star that was supposed to be in the middle disappeared. I think I exchanged rows 1 and 3 of the log cabins. Didn't notice til it was done. Oh well... I like it anyway.

Love the colors, too, and that you didn't paper piece. As you found out it can be done. I'm always trying to figure out how to quilt this size without detracting from the intricate piecework..

another?

I do like working with smaller pieces. Even when I am doing a large quilt, I usually work with smaller blocks. I keep telling people that it is easier to sew straight for 2" than 8". Really I can't seem to acquire accuracy -- either cutting or stitching. I like to work with blocks that can be sized down for better accuracy. My goal is just to improve over time (and I think that I do). Second nature it ain't... At least not yet. :)

That is so pretty. I can imagine an entire quilt like that.
