finished my (2) Appliqued Connecticut quilts
3 Attachment(s)
I was commissioned to make 2 appliqued quilts for a house built in 1785 in Connecticut- been working on them for 3 months- finally finished the binding on the second one today , YEA! was asked to wash & dry them when I finished so they would have that (crinkly) look, so, as soon as the second one came out of the dryer I took the pics- ready to get them sent out & move on to other projects. i'm pretty happy with the way they turned out- my first time working with all solids- they are 68" x 96" (measurements requested) there were some challenges. :)

Beautiful quilts!! They deserve to be on display!

For not being your cup of tea they came out beautifully. Can you elaborate the source of the applique patterns and the technique? I see you said machine applique but are they raw edge fused or prepared with a seam allowance turned under and if turned under what technique did you use? I am really getting into turned under applique (not raw edge fused) and like to explore all my options.
Beautiful quilt!!!
Beautiful quilt I so admire you who do such beautiful hand work. My DM made a lot of appliqued quilts by hand all so pretty.
Love it. Gorgeous
