I just finished this tonight. I have to wash it so it will rag more tho.

I tried to click on it and make it bigger, but still couldn't tell- are the stars raggy, too? How clever!

Yes, the stars are ragged too. It is in the washer at the moment. I'll take another pic when it is dried. I'll take a close up of the stars for you too.

I cut out a piece of white fabric and then another in the other fabric. I put the white behind the colored so I'd have 2 layers to rag instead of one. I stitched about 1/2 inch inside the shape. The star was a template in the book the quilt was in.

Sorry, I don't know the name of the book, it belongs to a friend.

Thanks again, this was my 1st rag quilt. It took me 3-1/2 hours to cut the little slits so it would rag but it is really comfy.

Yes, that is what I did. I used a 1/2 seam and cut 1/8" cuts to fray it.
