Finished my cotton theory quilt
3 Attachment(s)
I'm proud to say that I started this quilt and finished it with in 6 months. My very own king quilt! Putting the label on the binding was my daughters idea, and I think it's perfect because it doesn't distract from the rest of the quilt.

Great quilt! I really like the label on the binding.

Wonderful quilt. Could you please give us a quick description of what Cotton Theory is and the basic steps of how you put this together. It looks like a giant log cabin. Is the border crosshatched with ric-rac on the front and back or is it a fancy stitch you did? what a cool way to enhance this beauty.
The binding signature is a terrific idea. peace |
Wow, you did a great job! I have one. It's Christmas on one side and I don't remember what's on the other side. It is still in kit form! I even got the roll of 18" batting, which I've been using for other projects.

Beautiful quilt and the scalloped edge makes it extra special!
Gorgeous quilt and love the scalloped edges!
Thanks for all the positives! The outer most parts of the quilt is done with bobbin work and crochet thread (scalloped area). As for making it....it's cut sizes plus 1" that you attached and either cut off or fold over and attach to the earlier piece, the directions from the book was difficult for me to understand, but I had a teacher! Once you do it it's easy to understand, but like I said....directions were confusing at least for me!

Lovely!! I have The Cotton Theory book but never made a quilt.
Very beautiful! Love the label binding too.
that is a lot of work... nice
Beautiful quilt, and neat scallops! :)
Great quilt, love the label idea!
WOW and WOW!!! I am impressed. At first I was a little confused by the color change in the two photos and then realized that what you have shown us is the front and back of the quilt. Don't know how you did what you did, but as I said, I'm impressed. Congratulations!

Great quilt, this is going to look awesome on the bed!
very nicely done!!!!
A stunning quilt!

I've read some people think it's too stiff, yet others say it's soft and drapes beautifully. Which is yours? Also, it seems like it's a love/hate project. Some people love the results, others hate it. Trying to decide if I want to jump in. Really intrigued with the thought.
Stunning two for one quilt and you did a great job on it's construction.
That is really gorgeous. I've watched Betty Cotton on TV shows a few times and it did seem complicated. I'm glad you figured it out and produced this wonderful quilt.
Oh my! That's one beautiful quilt..... very nice.
