Finished Nursery Rhyme quilt!
 

I used pink flannel for the backing and pink variegated thread. The thread doesn't show up very well in the picture. The binding is rainbow color. Most of it Is cut off in my picture. I am not not the best photographer. Now I am off to find a nursery rhyme story book. I will give this to her at her baby shower.

It is simply gorgeous, and at the baby shower everyone will be wanting to see it. A very sweet baby girl quilt. :)

Can someone suggest a big nursery rhyme book that would go with this quilt?

Amazon has several Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme books on their site. I'm sure you won't have any problem finding one.

That is just beautiful, thanks for sharing the finished piece of art. I agree with jmoore you should enter that in a quilt show. I know you mean for it to be used, but hopefully mommy will take extra special care of this beauty and as someone else stated "not wash it to death". If I received this as a gift, I think I would hang it on the wall for baby and everyone to see. You definitely created an heirloom.
