This is a surprise lap quilt for a very dear friend of mine. The fabric is Moda's Breakfast at Tiffanys - peach is her FAVORITE color. I used two charm packs and had the equivalent of one and a half charms left over to feed to my scrap box, which is already overflowing. It went together incredibly fast - I will definitely be doing more D9Ps!

The original 9 patch blocks were 15" squares, so when they were cut into quarters that left 7-1/2" squares to work with. It seemed like it took forever to decide in what order to arrange them and I probably had the same layout several times before I finally said "Just do it!". Seemed like everything looked nice. |
