Hello Everyone! I posted this almost a year ago and I promised to post the final results. Well, here it is! I took on this project because a co-worker's son wanted to 'save' a quilt that his great-grandmother made for him 24 years ago. I told him I'd do what I can and this is it. The first picture is what he gave me to work with; the second picture is what I was able to salvage. It's not as beautiful as the ones I've seen posted here but he is VERY HAPPY! Thanks for all the encouragement you gave me!! |
Looks like you did a great job!

You did good!! That finished quilt is very pretty.

Wow! That is a labor of love. What a treasure. Sometimes a quilt is more about who gave it to you than the particulars of the sewing. I'm sure he is very happy!
|
OMGosh! THAT is a work of wonder! You did an awesome job, I don't think I could have figured out what to do. Good for you!!!!

You did a wonderful job on this quilt. The way you saved it, and with it still having pieces that was what his great grandmother had in it. I just showed the picture to my husband, and he thought that was so nice. Bless you for what you did.:)
