ania!!! good gracious that is absolutely beautiful!!! Super awesome job!! I think your son has a fantastic eye for beautiful quilts!!! Since you did such a great job on this one, your next one should be a sea breeze instead of a storm at sea! :D

That's just amazing! I love your color choices and the workmanship is terrific! I've wanted to do a storm at sea heart quilt for years, but haven't gotten up the courage to try it. Kudos to you for a very successful voyage!!

ania755 08-05-2008 04:55 PM

:D Thanks to all of you.....I know I will never get here a true bad criticizm.....But , thanks anyway.....
I did not choose the colors (my son did, he even bought the fabric (just to make me feel worse when things were not going so well.....He choose the pattern......) I really didn't know its going to be so problematic.....
I do not recomend it....unless you want a real headache.....Some of the pieces are so confusing...
   I am blushing from all the complements....You are really great....Thanks :D

adyldrop 08-05-2008 06:41 PM

I love it!! Beautiful!!

zyxquilts 08-05-2008 07:14 PM

It's beautiful Ania! I totally understand what you mean about how hard it is....I just did a Storm at Sea test block, which decided us that we are now doing an Irish Chain quilt instead! (My friend & I are making a quilt for one of our "nieces" for her wedding.) I made it with paper piecing, but those points still didn't want to match. So it will get a couple borders & become a wall hanging for my office. :)
I admire you for sticking it out & finishing it!

KellyPA 08-05-2008 07:27 PM

Your son has a good eye for colors, fabric and pattern. And you have the patience and loving care to do it. It is so beautiful!!!!!!

ania755 08-06-2008 06:34 AM

   You are making me blush again (this time even more)....Gosh....I was never "ready" for it...... "no skills" at all only plenty of tears and frastrated moments.....and the results are in front of you: :: You cannot see all the mistakes and inperfecctions.in the picture......but trust me, they are in there.....and I do see them ...
I even run out of fabric as you may see...
No, I am not tempted at all to keep it....I am glad to get rid of it...(it means I finish sweating over it)...
Thanks again :D

Harmony 08-06-2008 06:38 AM

Your quilt is gorgeous! What a sense of accomplishment you must have! Remember, only YOU see all the mistakes--everyone else just sees a beautiful quilt! Well don!
