Thank you for the information on pg. 8 actually I needed strong mangets for an idea. I went to the the vendor you mentioned and placed an order. I hope they will meet my needs, thank you so much for all you detailed information.

I made a fireplace cover, also, because our 1940s fireplace does not have a flue in it. Mine is Art Deco style.

Our fireplace flue doesn't close tightly (warped a bit) and our daughter and s-i-l's fireplace is the same. We talked about replacing our ugly plastic with something nicer - the plastic helps keeps the warm air in when the fireplace isn't being used. So I decided to make them the first quilt and the flames/logs idea just came naturally I guess. No artistic talent here, believe me!
