First attempt at paper piecing
1 Attachment(s)
I found a picture of this recently and decided to finally learn how to paper piece. Much to my delight, it is easy and the results are good (after about a dozen tries!) I certainly will look for more of these type projects in the future!

Adorable quilt, you did a really good job!
What a cute quilt!
sweet quilt. I love your crayons.
Not always easy to do. Your work is wonderful!
What a fun and happy quilt. Hearing that you stayed with it and kept trying until you learned it is wonderful. So many people give it up before they catch on and never really learn how much fun PPing can be. I use the technique all the time and covert patterns to use it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

nice job, love PP
Cute!! Makes me want to color something.
Welcome to the wonderful world of paper piecing. It is the only way I can get true accuracy and envy all you quilters on the board who can cut straight. Love the quilt and it certainly came out nicely.
Awesome quilt, I love to PP. Where did you find the pattern?
What a wonderful quilt :) Pattern ? Would love to make it for my grandsons :)
Really cute! Excellent piecing.
Thank you for all the nice comments. Several people asked about a pattern. I just used a picture I found on line and then looked for a tutorial on pp the crayon. After the crayons were done, I just did some measuring and drawing on graph paper to complete the rest. It was really fun to learn this new pp skill!

A fun quilt.....very bright and happy.

Well done. Comes to show that what we can do when we put our minds to it and how creative you can be. God has a purpose for us quilters. We have faith in Him, He can take our quilting destiny and take us to pieces we never dreamed of.
Cute project and nice work!
Cute! I'm not one to do PP but you did a really nice job.
Wonderful quilt - love the polka dot crayons!
I love to PP. It is so rewarding to have perfect points. I think people are intimidated by the technique but if they would try it once they would find it is very easy. There are some patterns that are challenging but that is with any pattern. Also there is lots of how to videos & books on it or there is always one of the board members here to help you if you get in a "pickle".

By the way your block is awesome. Love all the bright cheery colors
Really cute! Love the colors!!
