great job

MamaBear61 12-04-2010 06:21 AM

Very nice.

Oh, I just recently completed a quilt top where I had a huge pieced circle for the central piece, and then had to get the arcs of the fabric right and sew them on- that was my first quilt. Once you get through the first, the rest of them get much, much easier. It is very nice, and you should be proud. I discovered that some quilters get a bit squirmish with circles in their quilts. It's a good skill to have in your set of skills as a quilter. Good job!! :0)

Pardon me, my first circle quilt.

Great job - it turned out well.

S D G 12-04-2010 06:44 AM

wonderfully done

tdgiffin 12-04-2010 06:45 AM

That is so pretty! You have more skill than I do. I tried curves for the first time recently, and the only reason my stitches would look like a Drunkard's Path is because they look like someone drunk did then! :)

Very nice quilt. I'm impressed with how quickly you were able to piece the top. I'm sure it will be done for Christmas.

Beautiful colors! Great job.

I started a Drunkards Path quilt a few years ago, but got tired of sewing curves. This inspires me to get it out and keep going. Mine are not Christmas fabrics, I used fabric that had flowers in it. It is just one of my UFO's.

clem55 12-04-2010 08:40 AM

beautiful!! The fabrics are gorgeous

Cyn 12-04-2010 08:41 AM

I've seen this pattern and wanted to try it, nice to know it's not all that hard. I really like your color combination.

raedar63 12-04-2010 09:23 AM

I love it,and thanks for posting the vidieo like, I want to try this, looks like a great way to make a fairly quick quilt cause of the large pieces of fabric.

Great job, it's going to a lovely Christmas quilt. I always thought Drunkards Path would be hard too, but I made a wallhanging for my youngest daughter using wildlife prints and I was surprised at how easy it went together.

jdavis 12-04-2010 12:09 PM

Beautiful quilt...love the colours. I took a look at Stonehenge fabrics online, they looked a little dull. Now reading your description and seeing them in your pic. they take on a whole new look. Thanks for sharing your work and letting us know that curves are not so scary.

Margie 12-04-2010 06:09 PM

The blocks I used are 6-1/2" unfinished, so yep, they went together very fast. Don'tcha just LOVE quilts that look harder and more time-consuming than they really are? I sure do!

cindygale 12-04-2010 07:13 PM
