I'd never really tried sewing curves ... it looked hard ... but I love Drunkard's Path quilts.
It turned out to be WAY easier than I thought! It definitely won't be the last one of these I make! Here's the throw I made in just a few hours, spread out over 3 days. I used two charm packs (I Believe in Santa and Tidings, both by Nancy Halvorsen/Benartex) and fabric from the Stonehenge Celebration collection. The Stonehenge fabrics are super-shiny with lots of metallic gold. (The gold stripes are some fabric I already had; not sure who made it.) Now to quilt it ... hopefully in time for Christmas! (Excuse the wrinkles and the chair in the lower right of the photo! ) |
you did a great job

That is great! I love the colors you chose for it.

Great job! I love it. I am kind of afraid of curves! You did a really good job.

Very well done! And the colors are arranged beautifully.

Wow, thanks y'all!
Here's how I sewed the curves. No pinning necessary - yippee! After a couple of practice blocks to get the hang of it, it really is as easy as the video shows. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlwVGoL4zV0 |
