I just picked up a Easy Big Block McCall's log cabin tissue paper foundation pattern today at a thrift store that has this pattern. Guess what my next project will be?

You did a wonderful job!!! I love it.

I'll bet you have one very happy brother-in-law. I especially like the asymmetrical setting.
|
I know that he really likes it.
|
The asymmetrical setting was a happy accident. :) I wasn't following a pattern, and I goofed. But I kept it consistent, and I love how it turned out.

I machine-pieced it with a Brother PQ1500S and quilted it with a Bailey on a Grace frame. Thanks for looking!

How perfect is that! I really like the quilt and a perfect use of the theme of the fabric. I know this quilt will be loved and enjoyed by a super fan of the Kansas Jayhawks. Great quilt.

Jenel, I love the blueberry fabric in your quilt! Just this morning I was reading "A New Look at Log Cabin Quilts" by Flavin Glover, and then I saw your photos which give a perfect example of the use of light/dark traditional blocks. Your manipulation of the blocks to create a design is very effective and make me feel inspired.

well done.

Beautiful. Love it. BrendaK
