There are a few books out there I will run down and get names to post later.

Check out Little Bits by Cindi Edgerton, she has a couple of mini's too.

One thing I do is use a size 14 needle and either newsprint or I really like to use Vellum paper. I too use a close stitch, mine is between 15-18 (my machine is older I think that is a 2 1/2 on newer machine.
I have EQ5 and am able to print off any of the blocks in in in any size and most in paperpiecing. It's really nice to have if you can afford it.

Dear Granny, you amaze me. PP is still on my list but I have collected alot of patterns. Go to silverlinings.com. She has darling patterns and even free ones every month. Happy stitching.

So for all making minis: where do you get the patterns? How do you get the paper off and do you go with 1/4" seam allowance?

I located a few of my books
*Paper-Pieced Mini Quilts By: Wendy Vosters (17projects)
* Little Lone Star Quilts by Lorraine Olsen (7 projects)
*Those Fabulous 30's By: Gwen Hurlburt (14 projects)
* Little Quilt Blocks: By: Joyce Libal and Editors of Mini. Quilt Magazine (not all are paperpieced)
* Easy Machine Paper Piecing By: Carol Doak-65 Quilt Blocks
*The Best of Miniature Quilts Vol. 3 (not all are foundation pieced
*Little Quilts from the Netherlands By:Els Feteris-Stam (not all are foundation)

Hope that helps a little too.
Judy

thank you all for the feedback, I went trough the links and also the mini section on this board.
Most available patterns start with 3" blocks. Waaaaay too big.....I reduced some with the printer down but I will make it like Rhonda and just draw regular patterns very little on paper.
As I will need 6" finished size I will just have to try out.
