First Quilt/Barn Pics

Here is my first quilt, totally finished and washed. I made the pattern as I went, I read in a book that you can take masking tape and move it along and quilt right beside it. So that's what I did on the border. Thanks for looking. I have another thread going with my new sewing table and some were asking about my barn/quilting room so I took a couple more pics of that too. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes with posting barn pics and not sewing related pics but we all like to look at pics I think?

omg! first let me tell you i really like your quilt and then let me tell you I REALLY LOVE YOUR HOUSE!!!!! the bathroom is divine! the wood! oh dang, you are one very lucky blessed lady. cooter is cute too!

can I live in the barn? maybe just the bathroom, ingenious idea with that treadle you actually have me looking at my poor treadle and I think she's crying out "no but I work and you love me". the quilt and dog are great also.

Ok I'm confuzzled. Is that your home and sewing room or The space you have for sewing and you live in a house on the property, either way I'm jealous. OH your quilt is beautiful too.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. I do not live here, I live in a normal 100 year farmhouse that is about 200 feet from this barn. The downstairs is the guys (my husband and 2 boys) workshop, and the upstairs is mainly mine but everyone uses it. It has central air and heat so I spend most of my time out there. Here lately it seems like I just go in the house to cook supper and do some laundry cuz I always want to quilt!! It seems like if I'm not quilting, I have my face stuck in a quilt magazine or book, I am a newbie ans so addicted! I wish there was someone close by to me that quilted so we could share this fun. I am kinda younger (35) so none of my friends quilt. They all just look at me like I'm weird or something, but I just tell myself that they are just jealous and keep on quilting! I will post some pics of the outside when I get home from work. That's if it's not storming, it's like 100 degrees here and supposed to have some wicked storms coming.

And not to worry your friends don't understand quilting, they may eventually come around when they're older. In the meanwhile, you have a few hundred friends here, right? <3 |
First quilt, my heavens, what a great quilt. I hope you do many more. The barn would be such a great place to have more.
