Wow! It looks like you have had a lot of experience. I recently tried a 3s freehand design. It went fast once I got the hand of it and looked pretty good for a quickie. You just make a 3 in one direction and then go in the opposite direction to fill in the spaces.

Great work, would never have guessed it was your first. There is nothing more wonderful than being able to pass down a quilt in the family from the older generation.

Beautiful job! What a treasure! I think it's pretty cool that she's receiving a quilt that was worked on by two generations of women in her family! Maybe I'll stop doing the quilting and just leave my tops for my kids to deal with in the interest of creating true family heirlooms! It's either that, or I'll have to live to be 150 to get them all done!
