I think you did great on the quilting! I've looked at Leah Day's website but haven't tried any of her designs....Good job!

I really want to stress to you beginners (like me), I have no particular talent for this kind of thing, I'm not artistic, I'm not particularly imaginative, and I can't draw to save my soul. If I can do this, you can do it. Really, work up the nerve, and give it a try. It's easier than you think. Oh yes, be very forgiving of yourself, or you will hate it. Using variegated thread helps too.

Very nice! You know they say "practice makes perfect" looks like you been practicing. Perfect! Love the varigated thread ,will have to try on my next project.

Looks just like what the teacher was explaining in one of my classes. I think FMQ just takes practice.

You mentioned you didn't like the gloves. I had gotten my 1st pair from ?????(that sr. moment). Finaly wore them out. They were too warm. My next ones from Fons & Porter. Like them so much better. Hands not so warm & liter wt. As for the threads, keep a small pc. of batting near by and touch the gloves to that. I know that is a nuisance. I get so grrrrr.

I think you have done a brilliant job and I am surprised it is your first attempt. Lovely quilt too.

Wow-what a great job! You are much braver than I am; my FMQ is still on a practice square. I really have to get up my nerve and just go for it. I really like how you did the different motifs in each block-makes the quilt more interesting.

I bought cheap gardening gloves on sale at Walmart ($2.00 I think) and they work really well for me. I didn't like the F&P-like you said, everything stuck to them.
