This was a great learning project, and I liked it - hand applique that is. The pattern is from Pacific Rim Quilt Co.

I chose a batik fabric to work with and I must say- it hardly frays/ravels like some cottons. Some of the inside corners/curves could be a pain.

I have always wanted to try this and recently my Guild had Linda Everhart as a guest. Yep, I bought the knife, the backing, the kit for her Quilt Police wallhanging my granddaughter wanted. Thanks everyone, it was fun to do.

I like to have 'handwork' available to work on when in the car, Dr's appt or in front of the tv. My other choice of handwork is embroidery and that is almost all done, too. So, need to get some items prepped to go. I plan on doing the "Candlelight" one next.
