Going well, very pretty block. :-)

When I did my avatar quilt, I removed the paper before joining the blocks. There were 6 blocks that had to go together and it was just way too much bulk. After I removed the paper, I blocked each block with spray fabric finish and trimmed it to the proper size. It just seemed easier to match points without the paper getting in the way.

After you sew all the blocks together. Though you may have to pull some of the paper off at the seams to make it easier to sew together.

Very pretty. I have made a Hunters Star but never with paper piecing. I leave the paper on until I get the surroundimng blocks done. Sometimes I will tear out the paper before going over seams other wise it can be difficult to get out. I like paper piecing, but I do not like the job of tearimg off the paper.

After. But if you shorten your stitch length paper rips off much easier and cleaner. Makes points so perfect, too.

thanks for the information about lowering the stitch length.
