You did a great job, they'll beautiful!!

Those are amazing. I love the fabric. Those would make really nice "hostess gifts" for when you are invited to a friend's house for dinner and such. Don't you think? I know I'd love to get one or two!!
Those are really pretty!Great job SulaBug!
Wow! First try - they're great!
I like them- Good job
Those are really great Sulabug! I love the way you alternated the birds with sections of the leaves! That really sets the birds off!
They are fun aren't they! I always want to see what the next one will look like! Sometimes I give in and sew half together before I cut all of them out just because I can't wait to see what the pattern will look like! The first ones I did a few years ago I made into trivets and they were about 9" finished. My daughter was having a tupperware party and she borrowed all my Kaleidoscipe trivets and set her dishes on them when she served her refreshments. Can't wait to see what you come up with next Sulabug!! Love these! |
Good work, and gorgeous fabric!
Cute cute cute!!! I love tropical fabrics for summer. You did a great job on matching them up too.
Oh, they are great! I have the e-book, too, but haven't had time to try working on it. Is the yellow one daffodils? I love it!
Thank you everyone, for the nice compliments on my kaleidascope
trivets! :D They were just way to fun to make & it was hard to stop. Yes, the yellow one is daffodil's & I plan to make another one, for a set. I am hoping to make more of these for Christmas gifts. My Mom has already spoke up for the bird set!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D |
Those are so neat! I like the first one best too.
I like the way you alternated the pieces - very pretty
These look great! Good job!

Those toucans are brilliant!
Wow Sula these came out great. I love the bird patterns and the Jonquil is beautiful.
SulaBug,
I love your choise of fabric. The birds are the best. I am obviously a bird. person. The flowers are beautiful too. Thanks for sharing. |
They look great. I have to try that.
You can add batting and a loop and make them into hotpads. The instructions are in the book.
Then you could make a set of trivets and hotpads! [/quote] Rhonda, I didn't explain how I made the trivets very well. I have put batting in them, maybe I should have called them hot pads!! :D Thank you for all of your help!! Sulabug, :D :D :D |
Wow! Those are beautiful! I can hardly wait to get my templates and try making some. But I'm sure they won't turn out as good as yours!
Gaigai,
Oh YES, they will!! :D After reading Rhonda's book, you will know just exactly how to make them. You are going to LOVE them!! :D Sulabug, :D :D :D |
Those are beautiful!!! If that is the results on your first try and they turned out so well, maybe I'll get the e-book and give it a whirl....

Thank you for the compliment and the kind words! They are appreciated!! I'm just glad you enjoyed the process! I think it is so much fun but sometimes people are intimidated by seeing something that looks hard when it isn't! I think these are easier than making pieced tops. What did you think? They make a nice change from piecing patchwork. |
oooooooooooooooooo those are beautiful. you did a fantastic job
Wow!!! Very nice. You did a great job.
Thanks gals for the nice compliments!! :D
They are way to fun to make. Everyone should give them a try. They go together faster than you might think. :D :D :D |
Sweet job! Love the daffodils!
