Will there be a project someday that I WON'T have to problem solve to finish??? I'm a bit weary of all this on-the-job training....

I love it, you did a very creative arrangement of blocks & sashing. (even if you pulled your hair) :-)

For all the trouble it gave you it sure did turn out cute. I love the giant fish fabric and I'm sure your DGS will too!

Love that! It's like the old nursery rhyme in reverse: for want of a nail the shoe was lost ...

For want of a spark the fish was found, for lack of some length a border was found, for lack of a border some splicing was done ... and all for the lack of a pattern!

You are not only a clever quilter, but a poet, too...:-) I really think its awesome when you start on a quilt, get into it, think, oh no...ack....help!!...but then something clicks, and it all turns out, and a lot of times better than the original design...so, pat yourself on the back, and get the gears turning for your next grrrrreat quilt!

It's looks very nice. If it's a little bigger than you planned, that just means they can use it longer.
