Flamingo Toes
 

I recently finished this quilt. It was a free pattern from Flamingo Toes. It will hang in our Florida room. It was made with 2 1/2" squares. I may make another one using 2" squares so it isn't quite so big. Was fun to make.[ATTACH=CONFIG]580206[/ATTACH]

Yes, it did turn out bigger than I thought it would (60 x 80). Thank goodness the wall is big! Like I said in the first post, I may make one using smaller squares.

I love your flamingo. I make my quilts about your size and I can hang them on the wall or use them for throws. I like my big quilts hanging on the wall and when I get tired of them on the wall I will give them away or use them myself for a throw.

Yes Salederer, it was very easy. Just sew 2 1/2" squares together. I just followed the grid that the pattern supplied. I did a row at a time and attached it to the row above as I did it so I wouldn't get the rows mixed up.

Cute quilt personally I am not a fan of making 2 1/2" squares and to then decrease to 2" you must have the patience of Job. I wanted to say it's great your watching QVC and Valerie is on!

I think we were actually watching "in the kitchen w/David" and they were on commercial break! lol

I've seen this, not done as nicely as yours, though. So very cute!

I love your flamingo. I have this pattern saved to make as I am a flamingo nut. I have a whole collection of them. I was thinking of working on this at retreat.

Meanmom, goes together quickly. Accuquilt Go was a big help in cutting the squares.
