Very cute
Very nice...lucky baby...
Beautiful !! I had a couple blankets like this when my son was a baby....my favorite baby gift. They are really nice.
So nice. Makes me want to learn to crochet.
That is wonderful! The crochet edging adds an extra softness to the already cuddly quilt. Thank you for sharing.
Love this blanket!! My dh's grandmother always made this kind of blanket for baby gifts. I have several she made my kiddos..some out of flannel, others out of plisse and seersucker.
I had one of these for my DD. I don't even remember who gave it to me.(A friend of my DMIL I'm sure.) DD is 28 now. I loved it!! :-)
Lovely!!! :)
Looks soooo cuddly, the crochet edge is pretty. I'm gonna have to learn to crochet one of these days.
I've made this kind of blanket, but it was only one big piece of fleece. Your little quilt is very nice.
Nice
Wonderful quilt with that vintage edging.
Yes, I cut and sewed the 4 pieces together to make the same layout for the top and the bottom and then added the crochet edge. It just adds some extra pizzaz versus one solid piece of flannel. But, to each their own, as I am sure all recipients would love these whether they are pieces or one solid piece per side.
That blanket is really, really cute. I love the idea of the four different fabrics. The shell stitch crochet edging is so sweet. Nice work.
love the crochet border very pretty
love your avatar, min schnauzers are the best dogs. I used to have one that color. I still miss her
Very sweet. Would that make a great receiving blanket.
It's really cute, but can't quite figure out how you were able to crochet through a doubled flannel for your edging?
Beautiful work and I love the quilt. Thank you for sharing it with us on the QB. I love to see what everyone else is working on and the different techniques.♥♥

You know,i think a wing needle would work for the holes.Or do you think the hole would be to small?Connie in CO
Sorry, but I do not know what a wing needle is or how large of a hole it would make.
Sweet!
A wing needle is a needle that has these flat things on each side of the needle.Martha Pullen makes baby gowns and uses that kind of needle.Your way is probably the best way.Your blanket they will use and save.
Looks soft and pretty, and the crochet edge is a really nice touch!
beautiful... wish i had someone close to teach me the edging....
Love the crocheted edge!
Nice job! Makes a special touch!
