Floating Diamonds
1 Attachment(s)
Finished up this quilt top this weekend. It is a graduation gift for our daughter's best friend. Her favorite color is pink and she loves tribal. This has been my most challenging top to date. It has 580 pieces and aside from the sashing, they are all diamonds, trapezoids, or triangles. It's not perfect and there are some alignment problems but I decided to leave them to remind her that like this quilt, people and life are not always perfect.
Thanks for taking a look. |

All that bias would have driven me out of my mind.

Pink and tribal were a tough combination but you nailed it! Great top!

Great quilt. I know first hand how difficult diamonds can be.
Beautiful, job well done and the sentiment is a good reminder to never expect perfection. It just won't happen.
Fabulous! So pretty.

A very sweet graduation gift.

Great quilt, your giving it away??!!
I love your quilt, it is so very different and the colors really make the quilt. I would suggest including care instructions as part of your gift so it enjoys a long life with its new owner. Thank you.
Wonderful work! I am fascinated by diamonds but haven't the nerve (or anywhere near the skill) to try them yet. Your quilt is inspirational. Thank you.

That's a great quilt. I love the floating aspect of it. Where did you get the pattern? And what size does it finish out to be?
"Pink and tribal" aren't commonly used in the same sentence, let alone the same quilt. I LOVE your interpretation and fabrics in that design. Kudoes for doing some difficult piecing!! She's gonna be so honored that you were so thoughtful .
Wow I guess that was a lot of work. You have done it! Great job!
