It's beautiful! Love the colors.

Oh, I think you should do it again! It's such a pretty quilt, and you did a wonderful job! :D  :D
To make it easier next time, you could try machine basting the entire quilt first. Then, go back and do stitch in the ditch between all of your blocks. Now that the quilt is nice and stable, you will have more fun doing your pretty leaves and flowers! Just remove the basting stitches in each block as you decide to work on it... I hope you do more quilts --- your color choices are great! |
You did an excellent job.I think it looks awesome. ;)

I think it looks great. Just keep doing what your doing and it will become easier. You should see the first one I did,I felt the same as you. I think we are the worst critics of our own work. Love your pattern too. May I ask what the pattern is you used? Again, beautiful quilt.Jan

Wow that is good I been trying to quilt on machine for A few years and still not good. (YOU DID THAT FM) Its lots better then A wedding ring one I did on the machine. Wich I won't show.
Looks great to me! Beautiful!
I know how hard it is to quilt on a regular machine; It's very hard. You did a terrific job and you should be proud of it. Looks awesome.
Totally impressed. Thanks for sharing.
It was really courageous of you to do this fm.... but, it was inspirational to me as well... I just might go for it now... thanks.
love it, it is beautiful
WOW!! I love how you tackled this on your DSM :D
You did a beautiful job :D:D:D |
You did a fabulous job! Wish my fmq would look that nice.
It's beautful!!!
Looks great! Was that with or without a walking foot? I don't have one, but hope that when I get one it will make my quilting easier and better.
I FMQ this size all the time, I don't try to get fancy, just do a large stipple. Don't give up, just save the fancy work for the borders or outside edges of the center. It will become easier.
You did a good job! I'm currently undertaking my first queen fmq'ing job myself. So I'm with you on boy I'll probably never do this again either!
Love your quilt and the backing fabric. I made a blue & brown for my DD and husband using almost the same backing. I think it's so pretty. I FMQ on my machine also and with the bigger quilts I'v been doing them in three parts and then sewing the three sections together. It's a pain but so much easier quilting.
Beautiful quilt!
And that story is why I'm on a quilting strike! Fortunately, I'll be able to buy a long arm at the end of the year. So for now, I'm putting tops with their backs and prepped binding strips on hangers in my closet. I still get to piece and I'll have plenty to practice on when I get my machine.
I HATE wrestling with a quilt! |
Beautiful
Looks great! Maybe next time do it sort of Quilt As You Go, so not all is under the machine at a time. It will be less heavy.
THIS IS LOVELY - HOPE TO SOMEDAY TRY FMQ, BUT FOR NOW I'LL JUST ENJOY YOURS.
When I quilted a king sized quilt on my machine, I did it in 2 pieces and then joined them. I could never have got the bulk of that quilt through the machine otherwise. If I do it again, I might do 1/4 th at a time and then join.
very pretty I love the colors and you did good! from another Coloradoan
Absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations!
