Fold n Stitch Wreath

My project from retreat....didn't know what I wanted to do at the intersections. Decided on gold beads and I'm happy with it. Definitely keeping this for myself!

ManiacQuilter2 01-17-2016 01:32 PM

Very cute. I think I will make a few for friends for Xmas this year.

lindalou 01-17-2016 01:35 PM

Did you buy the pattern or just experiment with making it? it looks fairly easy, but I haven't tried it yet.

Tartan 01-17-2016 01:39 PM

I bought the pattern. It took me awhile to figure it out, but after that it wasn't bad. I've seen a couple of results from people that tried their hand at making their own patterns. They weren't the same. I'm not a creative person....need directions, so I hope my financial support of the designer will encourage more from her.

The gold beads were an excellent choice - it's lovely!

Good job! These are on my to do list for next Christmas.

Yooper32 01-18-2016 08:01 AM

That binding in the middle looks Hairy-scary to me. How much fun was that to do?

Snooze2978 01-18-2016 09:47 AM

Been viewing this project and when I went to my local fabric shop for the new Sangria BOM class she also told us and showed us new patterns/projects and this was one of them. So I picked up the pattern to make use of some of my larger scrap pieces.

Very nice, like the fabrics you used.

twinkie 01-18-2016 11:15 AM

That is sew cute. I love this new centerpiece.

Barbara Kantola 01-18-2016 11:53 AM

Actually, with the method the designer uses, there is no traditional binding....just looks that way.

I love the blanket stitching and the gold beads. Now I want to make one, too. Thank you for posting your awesome wreath. I am glad you will keep it to enjoy.

copycat 01-19-2016 04:33 AM

one more thing...I forgot to ask, did you use batting in your wreath or foam? It looks so crisp.

quilterpurpledog 01-19-2016 04:49 AM

This is certainly one of the prettiest folded wreaths that has been shown. I really like the pattern-yours is outstanding and I am glad you plan to keep it and enjoy it.

sherneff44 01-19-2016 04:51 AM

I have the pattern and haven't figured it out yet, which frustrates me immensely. I thought I understood it, but wasted fabric because I didn't.

Jeananne 01-19-2016 07:28 AM

I just bought this pattern, I've been looking at it for awhile...this last Christmas I wasn't able to make nearly as much for Christmas gifts, but want to get a head start on next year....I'm hoping that it isn't too difficult. It's just beautiful!

catsden 01-19-2016 08:20 AM

Very nice. These are on my to do list.

ljptexas 01-19-2016 09:04 AM

I used Peltex, which is one of the products the pattern recommends. I found it at Joann Fabrics.

sewmagic 01-19-2016 05:53 PM

Very pretty!

ctyankee 01-19-2016 07:00 PM
