You surely have been busy! Can't say which is my favorite -- they're all very pretty.

Very very nice. I especially like the burgundy colored one.

Toilet paper or paper towel rolls were suggested to place into each round for storage--keeps them from going flat and getting creases.

They are very pretty. I have made two which were used as fundraiser baskets. I a. Wondering about washing them. Would you wash by hand and air dry or what? Thanks

Saw some made up in quilt/sewing shops and have been wondering how difficult they are for a beginner.

They are not easy! I'd say it depends on how well you can read and understand a pattern. I found the commercial pattern very confusing, but if you have a local quilt shop selling the pattern (and with displays) they should be able to help you if you get stuck. Maybe they even offer a class. It seems some folks are making up their own patterns and making them almost like mini potholders sewn together. Maybe you can PM Marcycn.

I have the pattern but didn't follow it. They use foam - whatever that is :-). I used fusable pelon and just two fabrics. I made the Pelon an inch smaller than the fabric and sewed around it on the back of one of the squares just barely anchoring it. Then I turned it through the opening I left. Then I sewed around the top close to the edge. The problem I had was in the sewing. I kept getting the squares sewn together wrong and it wasn't until I mastered that (using the template that came with the pattern) everything came together. Someday I will try the applique but for now I'm satisfied with what I've done. :-)
