He used plywood for mine but just did a smaller one for GD and he did buy the better grade plywood....less apt to bleed.

Not sure what sealer he uses but will ask him if you are thinking of doing some...here's the latest for the GD. Her's is 12"x12" and is for her front door. I sent her pictures of different blocks and this is the one she chose.

Second photo is another of a make-shift item that we all could use. I had a couple quilts that I wanted to hang and store temporarily and the hangers were too small..so here's is Charlie's solution.

These are two of the hangers that the stores usually leave on a pair of shorts or pants when you buy them.....a piece of wood and some large spring paper clips........viola, a new super-large hanger.
