OBW popped in my head and here is what some of the blocks would look like. I don't even remember this fabric, think I got it at an auction. And....it has orange, my favorite color, in it.

SueDor 04-19-2011 01:10 PM

Yup that was what I was thinking.

Don't you love playing with that mirror . Looks good !

Kimkankwilt 04-19-2011 01:33 PM

Hopefully you have enough for 6 repeats...it should turn out really cool.

Tussymussy 04-19-2011 01:43 PM

It's very pretty as it is, but it will make a beautiful OBW.

debcavan 04-19-2011 01:54 PM

An oBW would be great with that fabric

MamaBear61 04-19-2011 01:58 PM

That is going to be very pretty.

granny_59 04-19-2011 01:59 PM

Amazing. Is this a special mirror?

Treasureit 04-19-2011 02:00 PM

The blocks would be more specific than with a fabric that is filled in more. I like what I see. I think I would like them centered in a square with sashing instead of clustered.

gal288 04-19-2011 02:02 PM

Perfect whacking fabric, will be very pretty.

squilter 04-19-2011 02:51 PM

No, just two cheap mirrors from the Dollar Tree.

himnherr 04-20-2011 03:45 AM

Hey fellow Missourian! Was wondering what that thing is that you're holding to show the OBW without cutting the fabric? Or is it cut? I'm toying with the idea of OBW and so need all the info. I can get. That gadget looks intriguing. :-)

piepatch 04-20-2011 03:46 AM

Ordinarily I am not a big fan of orange, but I really like this fabric, and orange IS the color of the season, or so the fashion experts tell us. It looks like a great OBW fabric.

cgroark 04-20-2011 03:52 AM

Where do I get a mirror like that?

Jo Belmont 04-20-2011 03:58 AM

Wow! I would love to get (or make?) a mirror like that. Then I could seriously consider a OBW.

Can you let us in on the how and where to get one of our own mirrors like that?

Thanks so much.

Jo Belmont 04-20-2011 04:05 AM

Whoops ... hold on! I just did a little searching and discovered that it's simply two small mirrors hinged together (or taped) so they open like a book. Duh! So simple. Gotta try this.

4girlsmimi 04-20-2011 04:08 AM

Can't wait to see your finished OBW. Happy sewing.
