what a nice memery

This quilt is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I'll see what I can come up with when I get stated on it. I have imagined it done in a lot of different ways but scared to start.

I dont think I would separate the blocks with a shshing, just use borders to finish it. As to quilting it cries out for hand quilting, and I would do straight lins like cross hatching. Just my opinion who is an older quilter ,78. That is how we did it back in the day. lol

What a treasure to find. My first thought was subtle green blender for sashing and mentioned. Take some blocks with you to a quilt shop and see what you like and enjoy the process of working on something your mother made. Can't wait to see pictures of your finished quilt.

I like the idea of green. I would leave it like it is though and just add a wide green border. It's beautiful!

They are beautiful. Whatever you decide, it's going to be a real treasure.

I would leave them the way they are. That is what your mom had in Mind. Then I would put a border around it. My mom did these and used a sheet for backing. I am looking at one now hanging in my dining area. Pink and red hearts she did years ago. Trimmed in Pink and pink binding and white on the back. Send pic. when done. You will always think of your Mom when you look at it.

Beautiful!

I love green, so my vote goes to green. A small/medium print.

Beautiful blocks! I think some 30's prints of various colors would work well as sashing. Anything solid could diminish the colors in the blocks.
