Your quilt top looks just fine to me!

The center is called "Gods Eye" I saw on the quilting board somewhere.

I've heard every mistake is a design opportunity. I like your design.

OHHH! I like it, very nice, and what an awesome gift. I am sure to bring lots of warmth and joy, and will always be special for both of you. Just because it's not just like the pattern is not an error, (I would be in trouble) you have just re-designed it and personalized it!!
