This was my first attempt at something scrappy. I made this for a friend's birthday. Now to get it sandwiched and quilted in a week :)

It actually was listed as "Friendship Braid" in the book Jelly Roll Quilts.

Beautiful. Can I be your friend too?

Ducky 03-31-2010 07:14 AM

It looks like something I'd like to do with scraps. I've done the braid before and had a hard time squaring it up. How did you square yours up?

GrannyW5 03-31-2010 07:46 AM

You did a wonderful job... beautiful

Marjpf 03-31-2010 07:48 AM

Beautiful. Great use of scraps.

katier825 03-31-2010 07:51 AM

Looks great! How are you planning to quilt it?

Maggiesmom 03-31-2010 08:17 AM

Nice job.

OLDNTATTED 03-31-2010 08:45 AM

Kind of takes me back to the sixties... Like they say "If you can remember it... You wernt there". That would look great with an echo quilting.Far Out Man.

Rachelcb80 03-31-2010 08:52 AM

Oooo, I love it! Even though it's scrappy all the colors go so well together. They're all subtle tones, nothing too bright. Very nice! How are you gonna quilt it?

MamaBear61 03-31-2010 09:04 AM

Very pretty. I am working on a braid border for a baby quilt and it seems to be taking me forever to get it to the right length. So I know that you have put a great deal of time into this lovely quilt

KittyGram 03-31-2010 09:21 AM

Beautiful! I love the Braid quilts. I think I need to get me one of those Jelly Roll books.

BKinCO 03-31-2010 09:38 AM

RACHEL!!!! YOU should quilt it for me!!! ;)

Beautiful - I love it!!!!!!!!

raptureready 03-31-2010 01:44 PM

It can also be used to make a beautiful border. And when I first started making quilts I made a 12 1/2" square of this pattern for my CW quilt using some pretty small pieces.

Dawn Hendrix 03-31-2010 01:46 PM
