My oldest friend (in terms of how long I have known her) is having her first grandson next month. Here is the finished quilt top. I was going to add another border (red) but after I put the blue one on, the quilt said it was finished
Any suggestions on how to quilt it? I'm thinking of hand quilting as I can do a better job at that as opposed to machine quilting..... Close up of fabric |
How big are the red stars approx? I think I'd start with quilting a ¼" echo around them and then see what else it needs. I really like the way the blue star forms in the background. I agree the blue border is nice & maybe bind it with the red?

Oh, it's so cute! Your hand quilting will be such a special touch. Don't forget to show us. You know how hand quilting makes me drool!
