Very lovely and inviting to Autumn.

Beautiful, love this block and the quilting is so cute too.
Looks great, I love the quilting, it adds a lot!
I love this idea! Great job!
It's very pretty and I like the quilting that you did on it. I also like your bottom comment - I know I'll never see mine perfectly clean, if it was my DH would probably say "Who are you and what have you done with my wife?" LOL
Very pretty - great idea!
It's gorgeous!
Very nice.
What a neat idea! The hanging is beautiful. Do they get bleached out by the sun? I live in FL and the sun shines on the front door pretty brightly from early to mid morning. Would love to try it though. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful addition to your door. Lovely work.
Love your quilt! It looks fantastic! And the idea of doing one for each month is great.
How did you attach this to your door?

HA HA ! ! ! For August, I'm thinking of using the panel left from my 'in the house' August hanging: (maybe some of the men would like them) |

I love your fall quilt. I have the perfect window for one. Do you have a picture of your winter or Christmas quilt?
Then he asked, how about next year, I'd like 2 more. Ok, I can do that, and he gave me his email addy to let him know when they were finished. Then I got to thinking, I didn't design these, I don't feel right making him more for money (the first one, to me, was kind of like something you buy at a garage sale, secondhand) So I made 2 more, and figured if he made the check out to a charity, I could sleep at night. Wouldn't you know, I have the wreaths, complete with the wood slat, but I can't find the email addy anywhere! lesson: careful if you hang something on your door, you may get talked into selling it! This goes up in Dec: |
I love your colors and quilting

Love this and the idea of one for every month. Did you use a pattern or make your own?
It's just 4 maple leaves, and I bought the stencil for the quilting either at Joanns or Hancock's |

I have a spot on the back porch that I really couldn't hand anything quilty. It gets direct morning sun, and I know it wouldn't last more than a year |
Oooh - that's very pretty. Would look nice on MY front door!
Lovely idea and very pretty work! thank you for sharing.
Did you have a pattern for the wreath?
Very pretty colors!
This would work nice for family members bedroom doors to personalize and bring cheer. Thanks for sharing.
Your wreath is beautiful.I'm planning to make table toppers for the seasons (not ready to make 1-a-month LOL). Maybe I'll make a matching wreath for the front door. Your suggestion for using a magnet to hang it solves my problem - I also have a heavy metal screen door. I have lots of 1 inch magnets with hooks - maybe they'll work - worth a try!
THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTIONS! |
That's great. Better than a barn quilt . . . especially if you don't have a barn. LOL
What a lovely idea
Beautiful and what a great idea. I hope you get one for each month!
Since I don't have barn to put quilt blocks on, I am making one for each month and hanging it inside my glass storm door on a small curtain rod held up by suction cups. It is fun to see them from the street and when I come up my front walk. Your block is awesome froggyintexas

I love this door wreath!
What a great idea!
Very attractive:) I believe you've inspired many a quilter with this project.

I found the pattern I use for the autumn wreath (with changes for my situation)
www.burmannstudios.com I happened across the pattern for the Christmas wreath also. I bought it about 10 years ago, but here's the info on the envelope: I got it at the Door Mouse http://www.thedoormouse.com The blocks say @Quilt Directions 1997 I guess it was more than 10 years ago! Now you know as much as I do |
