I would not meander over the faces. What I would do, is out line the faces with free motion quilting to make them stand out. If you can meander you can outline. It's just a matter of watching what you are doing. Maybe it's time to expand your abilities. Whatever you do, good luck.

Great quilt, one that my DGD would love as it's one of her favorite movies.

I might do a very thin med blue border before the dark blue border - just to set it. White meandering would be perfect but I wouldn't go over the faces, just around them. Maybe even do an echo quilting around the faces and really show them off. Better be careful because I'm sure when this is given you are going to get so very many requests for more!
