I have just finished a bullseye quilt. A great quilt to make if you like using your favorite scraps.

Good looking quilt. Are the bullseyes appliqued or inset?

Chele 06-19-2010 05:23 AM

katsewnsew 06-19-2010 06:09 AM

What a great idea for those scraps, and I like the outcome.
Let us know how you did those circles!!!

Your quilt is very nice.. I like the scrappiness of it.

Here's some free bulls-eye patterns. I've done both the hearts and the flowers for my niece.

Nice. A small group I belong to has done this swapping at least two times I think. I have never done one but I love how they come out!

quiltsRfun 06-19-2010 09:23 AM

Now that's my kind of quilt. Is this raw edge applique? Even better!

amma 06-19-2010 09:58 AM

What a fun scrappy!!! I love it :D:D:D

Bevanger 06-19-2010 10:01 AM

How cool. I really like it

sewgull 06-19-2010 10:15 AM

Love your quilt. My first quilt was 'Bull's Eye" . I saw it in a shop and decided I can that. It turned out great.
I used 8", 6" and 4" circls on a 14"square. Did quilt as you go method. My daughter grabbed quilt as soon as is was completed.

ann clare 06-19-2010 10:18 AM

I have this done in a wall quilt - pattern came from a Kaye Wood book.

Pineapple Princess 06-19-2010 11:27 AM

Very cool!

The circles are cut out free hand with a scissors and then sewed on top of fabric square with machine cutting out the back of each circle so the blocks don't get too thick. I then cut the squares into 4 sections and paired them up with another section to get the scrappy look. Machine quilting was only done between the circles. As the quilt is washed the circles will fray to the stitching.

Super explanation Becca. I also used my Circular attachment for my Bernina alng with my piecing pressr foot to stitch the circles onto the square. This helped keep my stitching the desired distance from the circle raw edges..

Really nice!

mequilter 06-19-2010 04:51 PM

That's my favorite all-time quilt to make, I could do those forever. I got my pattern from a book called something like Quilts from Aunt Amy. The best thing is the more they're washed, the softer they get. I just love mine.

wvdek 06-19-2010 04:54 PM

Interesting pattern. Lots of circle stuff going on.

quiltinggirl 06-19-2010 05:52 PM

Very nice work! :)

littlehud 06-19-2010 05:54 PM

That is a cool quilt. At first I thought they were all curved seams and that didn't seem like fun at all. Than I realized they are appliqued. Much better for me.

sharon b 06-19-2010 09:35 PM

What a neat pattern and thanks for the link

SulaBug 06-19-2010 10:52 PM
