Fun making this Xmas Tree
1 Attachment(s)
I don't have room for a real one so I am trying to get this finished so that I can hang in on the inside of my front door. Can't decided which border fabric to use. I like the watercolor batik but also love the dots in the fabric on the left looking like snow falling.

Very pretty. I vote for the Batik. Love it!
very nicely done
I vote for the batik. It's a beautiful tree! The colors behind the tree remind me of the sky's colors at sunset on a cold day.
I like the snowflakes falling!! Very pretty.
I prefer the snowflakes falling. Very pretty. You could sew on some sparkly beads to go with the topper.
very pretty and practical! I vote for the darker dots ....... like snow falling.
Snowflakes are my choice... Lovely quilt!
i vote for the snowflakes falling!!very beautiful job!!!
Stunning wall hanging
Beautiful tree - I like the snowflakes!
I think I prefer the batik for the border. It's a very pretty quilt!
Pretty tree. I vote for the "snowflake" one too~
I vote for the snowflake.

I vote for Batiks too!
Just put both of them. B atiks first to complement the tree, and then the dots to have the snow flowing around. Beautiful tree.
Very pretty and compact Christmas tree-just a great size for you if you are limited on space. I vote for the batik. I think it gives a little movement around the tree.
Very pretty. So far I've counted 8 for the Snowflakes and 7 for the Batik's. I also can't make up my mind. Both would be very kool. Wonder what it would look like with the tree made up of only the Snowflakes and the border the Batik?
Maybe I'll go for the Batik so then the count would be 8 and 8. So glad we could help you make the decision. You did a super job on the background and the whole thing. Be sure to show us a picture when you figure it out. BrendaK |
I vote for the dotted one, but both are great choices. Very pretty!
Love your batik tree! I vote for the dotted fabric on the left. Good job!
Beautiful! I like either one. I'd love to see what you choose for the finished quilt.
Very nice wallhanging.
i vote batik very pretty!!!
Lovely hanging
My vote goes for the batiks.
THANKS for all your input. Both green fabric are batiks. The one on the right is a watercolor Hoffman and I think the dots are from Robert Kaufman Artisan collection.
I vote for the dots. It makes the quilt sparkle.
What a wonderful way to use up some 2.5 squares! Aren't you the clever one! Thanks for sharing.
It looks really nice and I would say that the batik makes the tree stand out better.
I would put a border with snowflakes not too wide and then the batiks on outer border, try that and use some hot fix crystals on the tree.
I think the batik is too "heavy". My vote is for the falling snow.
I vote for the batik, makes your tree really stand out.
The green with the dots makes me think of snow falling.
I love your Christmas Tree. |
After reading all the responses, I think a flip of a coin is needed! They both will work great. Let us know what you choose with a pix.
Either one will work. It's cute.
I love batiks
