Here is the finished quilt for a fund raiser for a friend's son. It is made of only two blocks: nine-patch and shoo fly. Not that my timing was too close, but I finished it at 2:46 am on the day of the fundraiser. It was still warm from the dryer (I have to wash all quilts because of my feline quality control department) when I dropped it off at 9am that day!! When will I ever learn???

I like it -

Thank you for including the names of the two blocks you used - I'm familiar with both of them and really had to look to figure them out.

Nothing like a deadline to get things finished!

I, too, have a feline quality assurance inspector.

Luvvv it!! I'd buy it!! What a nice thing to do.

REally like the shoo fly blocks. Very easy to do and they always show so well.

REALLY REALLY COOL! Love it! Thanks for posting it because it would work GREAT for SIGNATURE QUILTs that I volunteered to make!

You solved my 'what am I going to make' problem!

Nice quilt. Should raise a lot of money. Love your colors and placement. Would have looked a long time to figure out the blocks!

I am always amazed at how well some blocks play together. I personally like the secondary star pattern that pops out. It sure does look a lot harder that it actually was to make.

Thank you for the kind words!!

Great quilt!! Should make lots of money!!

The quilt is not only beautiful, but I think you chose the right colors for the right time of the year since the 4th of July is close. I would hope that would make it sell even faster and for more. I would certainly snatch that quilt up in a second; I love it.

This is a beautiful quilt. Sure hope the results of the fund raiser match the quality of construction, design and dedication of your hard work. Like the others, I really had to look to identify the 2 designs. They work beautifully together.

Great job. Now relax and take a lot of satifaction of a job very well done. I would have been sick to my stomach with your time frame, but have done the exact same thing...and was so nervous could not eat. Well worth it, would do it again.

Maggiesmom 06-27-2010 09:38 AM

That is a very pretty quilt. Someone will be pleased to have it.

I do the same thing...put an impossible deadline on myself, and then have to work like a dog to meet it!! LOL But it's worth it when the charity gets the cash. I like your quilt a lot!!

mrs. fitz 06-27-2010 04:44 PM

What really makes it is the border. Really nice job!

Will we never learn - some do better under stress. Quilt looks great

Kellie G 06-28-2010 07:43 AM

Your quilt is great. I love that the blocks basically meld together. If you hadn't said what blocks they were, I would have never figured it out. (to be honest, even after I knew I had trouble). Makes it look like a very difficult quilt. Wonderful job.

Love you choice of colours. I am sure that the feline quality control supervisor had a good time supervising the making of the quilt. Hope you are able to raise a lot of funds with the quilt.

This is really a lovely quilt - there are so many secondary patterns. Congratulations, and I hope it brought a HUGE price at the fund-raiser!
