That fabric is perfect for a OBW. Gorgeous!!! Iv'e made two myself. They are quite addicting! Not as hard as they look huh?

Love it! I may be dumb, but are those kaleidoscope blocks? I have been just dying to try them, but never can decided what fabric will work. Looks like you definitely don't have that problem. Are the pieces cut with templates? And how do you decide where to cut?

Nursie, there are two great books called One Block Wonders and One Block Wonders Encore by Maxine Rosenthal that explain the process - the fabric is stacked into 6 identical layers and the triangles are cut with a 60° triangle. The patterns fall where they may and it's such FUN! Ain't it, Jenell? Back me up here! :D

They are turning out beautiful; you are brave, I would have had a hard time cutting that fabric.

I am so glad you posted this, as I think my next quilt is a one block wonder. Please keep us updated on your progress. Looks beautiful so far.

Nursie, half the fun is not knowing what will come out as you cut. You never really see till you get all the triangles back together. It sure keeps you sewing! I did use a template on this one because it is 8 instead of 6. When you make it with 6 you only need a 60 degree angle on your ruler.

Okay, here is what I got so far...
