I love these ideas for using fabric and you did a really nice job on your project!

barbt 12-22-2010 07:12 PM

what a great idea! Did you use lace on the outside or embroidery?

nonnie60 12-22-2010 07:42 PM

Happy Holidays

What a great idea-I love them. Thanks for sharing.

What a great idea, and they are nicer and prettier than the card holders you buy. I have already sealed mine in cards, so I will pass this year, but you can bet I will be making mine next year! Thanks for sharing.

They look great! I made the lil snap bags & kleenex holders for my neices & nephews for their gift card. The younger one's got the bags so that they can put their toys or school stuff in.

Actually, neither. It's just one of the stitches on my D1. It kinda looks like snowflakes. :)

Oh great!! Now I have ANOTHER project to do before Christmas! Actually, this came just in time because I wanted something novel to put the grandkids cards and cash in.

You know the ones you have, but never use. lol

The green ones are for the boys and the red are the girls.

btw, this is the first time I've posted a pic of something I've made. I'll eventually get around to showing the quilt tops I've completed...someday I hope they will be completely quilted.

Thanks for looking.

Becky

I'm going to snag that pattern right now! What a great idea! And not just for Christmas either!

Becky, great job on the gift card holders are they easy? Do you have a pattern? Yes, you NEED to finish your quilt tops, they are not finished until you put them together.

Hi Sandy,

Yes, these are very simple. I got the free pattern from Connecting Threads @ http://www.connectingthreads.com/pat...__D991424.html

There is also a tutorial on the subject that janice4 did and can be found @ http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-48846-1.htm

And yes, my 2011 goal is to complete and post pictures of my completed quilts.

Happy New Year!!

Thanks,
Becky

Heehee, I was going to use the kleenex holders for the gift cards until I found the gc pattern.

Becky, Thank you, thank you, thank you! I will down load the pattern and get right on it. Thank you again. Sandi
