Giraffes, Elephants, and Birds Baby Quilt

1 Attachment(s)
Baby quilt made in the theme and colors requested by the mommy of Emma! It was fun to design this one, then find fabrics in the right colors. Light yellow and light purple are not popular colors this year, so it was a challenge! I used minky on the back; no batting. The quilt is very cute and very cuddly!

I don't have an embroidery machine. I used Microsoft Word "Edwardian Script ITC" in bold, blew it up to about 400%, then print, transfer backwards to fusible web, iron on to wrong side of chosen fabric, meticulously cut it out. Once it is ironed onto the background, I just free motion quilt around the edge, scribbly fashion. It is easy to do, just a little bit time consuming. I love the effect!

Great baby quilt! I love the colors and the theme.
