I've seen pics of them done as large sized quilts, which is what inspired me to begin it. They're beautiful and unusual with all the curved pieces. But goodness, about drove me bonkers and the blocks are somewhat time consuming (for me, anyway).
For those that want to try, there are several sites on the internet with free downloads of patterns that you can use to make your own templates. When I did mine, I bought some thick ready-made acrylic templates to use for it. If you like a challenge, well, this could be it! :D |

I have a quilt made in the 1930's with fabrics very similar to yours. The name it had was "improved 9 patch". Yours is beautiful, I love it, aren't you glad you gave those blocks something to do!
