I bought a kit for this quilt from Bonnie Blue at the Long Beach quilt show a little while back. I've been working on it for a couple of weeks, and just finished the top tonight (but not without having to fix a few blocks I somehow got turned wrong or something!) If you see anything out of place, please let me know before I layer it for hand quilting-- I'm so tired of looking at it I think I really can't see it anymore!

Oh WOW Harmony!!!! I love that!!! Excellent job!!! The colors are great!!! What is the kit called? I really, really love that!!!
Well duh!!! Looked back at the title and there it is!!! |
Harmony that is really pretty....how big is this quilt???
I love the scrappy effect, its very effective, well done :D
This quilt is about 64x64. If you look at the Bonnie Blue website you'll find the kit. I used Thangles to do all those triangles--they made it SO much easier! I know I want to hand quilt it, but I'm still pondering on exactly what I want to do. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!

Harmony...for what it is worth...hand quilting would be lost in the busy-ness of the fabric...just my thought....
Thanks for your info on the quilt it is lovely |
Great job....you did good! :)
Very nice!
Outstanding job! I just adore it! I'm going to the website to check it out.
Very Nice, I love the country colors.
that's fantastic!
but... sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong.... have you considered a border all around? Even a 4" border would make it big enough for a double bed throw and would 'frame in' the whole thing.... MOO and don't yell at me... 8) |
Wow!!!!!!!!! I really like this quilt. You did an outstanding job.
Love the quilt. Sorry no ideas on the quilting. I would stay away from "in the ditch" quilting - it will get lost in the fabric and hand quilting is so time consuming (and beautiful) that you want it to show. Maybe browse some online quilt stencil catalogs for inspiration.
What type of frame are you using to quilt? Happy quilting, Jo |
I just love th quilt. Great job.
Glorious quilt!!! I love stars!
Outstanding, a border would give you more size unless you want it this size. Hand quilting is always good. I would use an all over simple design. :D
Love it, love it, love it!!!! Looks great!
Harmony-What a spectacular quilt you have made!! I am so impressed with all the stars and points--you did a fabulous job!
It's beautiful :!:
:D :D :D Beautiful!! You did a great job.
I understand your getting sick of it. that's why I have several projects going at once so I can go to something else when I get tired of one. Keep up the great work! judee |
Oh! That's gorgeous!! My hubby would love that and want me to make one, too! :D He loves all things patriotic. :D
BEAUTIFUL!
Ooh, it's so pretty! I absolutely love it. Great work!
WOW! That sure is pretty!!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! Scrappy is my all time favorite look and this one is fabulous!
Harmony it is absolutely gorgeous.
That is beautiful! and I agree with ^...a border would frame the whole thing and make it stand out a little...as well as make it big enough for a double bed. Just my two cents worth. If not then it's fine the way it is.
Simply gorgeous! |
