GO IU! My latest.

My aunt who lives in Kentucky is a HUGE IU fan! She has custom plates on her car with IU on them and hangs an IU flag on her front porch in the heart of KU territory. She wanted a new quilt for her bed and requested an IU one of course. This is what I came up with. It and the shams are reversible just incase she wants to change things up a bit.
My husband and I are going down there this week to give it her. I can't wait. Thank you for stopping for a view and comment. |
beautiful, love the quilting

Out of this world. She will go crazy over this quilt. BrendaK

Beautiful !! And what a brave woman to be such an IU fan in Wildcat Country!!!
|
nicely done
|
Wow! That is beautiful. How could she not love it.

What a beautiful gift. You can tell you really put a lot of effort into your design and to make it reversible is just pure genius. You are a great niece. Two of my niece's didn't even send acknowledgements when I sent their first born daughters hand smocked dresses. Needless to say, I quit sending. Love it, even if I'm not an IU fan.

Both sides are super! You are going to be her favourite neice.
|
Goiu!
I am so glad I saw your gift when I did so I could join in with the compliments. This is so pretty, versatile, and you are so talented. Did you design it or use a pattern? Whichever, wonderful. Wish I could be your neice. :hunf: Keep up the good work!!

It was my design but reminds me a something you might see on a cheerleaders uniform. It didn't look that way in the design process but when I finished the top, that is what I saw. LOL! |

My aunt is originally from the Jeffersonville (Clarksville) area. She has lived in Louisville most of her adult life though so she has been putting up with being teased for a long time. |
Nothing left to say that hasn't already been said, Love that you made reversible, and both sides are exquized' Thanks for sharing your story...

Well done! You could make a fortune selling those around here! I made a Colts quilt, super simple, $300, took about a week start to finish.
