I'm so glad to hear that they aren't bad to make! I really wanted to make the cafeteria a wall hanging so badly and have been collecting food prints to put in the jars!
Whew! Okay. I can exhale now lol

Let's see if I can do this. I googled food jar patterns and came up with this: (It isn't paper-pieaced and looks pretty easy.)

Also after the pattern, scrool down for several jar quilts.

Cute idea! Love food fabrics and you displayed them beautifully on shelves!

I think it's great that you used black. It makes your foodstuff look like it reallyis in jars :D

I'm looking for vegetables and wonder what line you got your fruit/veg. from? I've looked at Timeless Treasures already. Thanks. Great idea. Terri

I go on the website quiltshops.com and enter food fabric in the search line and they give you all the quilt shops on their site that carry anything to do with food fabrics. I ordered most of the food fabric and the "wood" for the shelf fabric off of that website.

I got one of my paper piece patterns at www.geocities.com/aljobritt/pattern2
another at www.geocities.com/pcpiecers then click on the free patterns there are 2 jar patterns there a mason jar and a baby food jar. Good luck and HAVE FUN!!!!! That's what it is all about. I think a wall hanging would look great on a cafeteria wall.

It looks a lot like a "bug jar" quilt - with the bugs replaced by food

Great :D That is very cute. You should sell them there. You'd make enough to stay in business.

It's cute. What a great gift for a restaurant owner.
