:-D :-D :-D This is my Star Burst quilt that I started last night. Now once I have the star sewn together I will start the "B" blocks, but I have yet to decide on the colors. The background is going to be a light color. I'm excited about this one and do hope it all comes together well. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

Sure has come together well so far! Will be looking for the finished top.

Looking extremely pretty so far.
I love the colors.....Can't wait to see the finished product
Looks great so far so no reason to think it won't be really stunning when finished!
I agree absolutely stunning!!!
yes
I can't wait ot see it too. I ordered the pattern from Clotilde and it is very similar to Dunster's Diamond Log Cabin quilt pattern, cept her diamonds are a 60 degree and these are a 45 degree and there are 8 points on the star. Now to go decide the colors for the "B" blocks and then I'll get going on those. Oh this pattern has a lot of "Y" seams, but it's not a problem with me as I know how to do them and have no problem with them. I wasn't sure it was going to be this pretty until I laid the blocks down. Thanks for the compliments and oh yes I can use a rotary cutter now so my chest is healing really nice. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

that is incredibly beautiful! i can't wait til i'm ready to make a star!
How beautiful. You have a good start.

The pattern has a lot of templates, but I cut them out on plastic template material so I can keep them longer than I can paper. The hardest part is choosing the colors. The diamonds are strip pieced. The "B" blocks are too, but there are only 6 pieces to that one and I have the colors chosen for that now. I just hope I have enough to make the whole medallion, If not then I'll make it as large as I can and finish it like a lone star jobbie. I'm planning to do some feather quilting on it. So this might take me a bit to get it done. tonight I will start the "B" blocks and I have the templates cut out of plastic template material so I'll see how the ball game will turn out and if it isn't a good game then I'll just hide in my sardine can and sew. Have a great evening, Huggies, Fay

No ,,Started it last night and I've got most of the "B" blocks cut out, but I'm taking a break and going to go back in and finish cutting. That ball game stinks so I might as well stay in there and sew. Have a great evening, Huggies, Fay |
