I'm not entirely ready for hot weather so I love your winter quilt. The spring one is very pretty. I love the flowers.

Not that I am aware of. I did these quilts a few years back and at that time she had been in either the APQS or some other big sponors calenders (they were judged to get a months spot). From what I understand she has made a big name for herself in the Lancaster Pa. area. At one time she did have a web page. If I can locate the card, I will post it here. I would think you could also Google her name.
Hope this helps!

Both are wonderful, but I especially love the winter one! I've been wanting to make one of receding hills, and yours gives me ideas! It's gorgeous!

I went to your page and read about what you did! Very impressive! Your quilts are beautiful - so many techniques used!

Monstookie 03-20-2011 04:40 AM

Beautiful quilts

Yooper32 03-20-2011 05:29 AM

Love both, but that tree in "winter" is spectacular. Is it thread work in silver metallic?

Yooper32 03-20-2011 05:34 AM

Just came back from your blog. The "poppies" is so striking, with minimal adornments and just those few pieces of fabric added. Mmmmmmm! Lovely

ga447 03-20-2011 05:35 AM

You're a great student the quilts came out so beautiful.

labug 03-20-2011 06:04 AM

Yes it is metalic thread. I layered water soluable plastic (WSP), tulle and again a piece of water soluable plastic. Put in a frame to make it tight. Drew the tree on the top WSP. And then did allot of stitching. When done soaked it in water and trimmed the tulle.
